Terrence Higgins Trust celebrates 25 years

28 November 2007

The Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) joined the Prime Minister this evening at Downing Street in recognition of their work in fighting HIV/AIDS.

Mr Brown spoke to young doctors, politicians and young people living with HIV at the reception. They were joined by people working with the THT to devise a new style of sex education for young people.

The event was to celebrate the 25 years of work so far, and also to look ahead with those who will be taking the work forward in years to come.

The Terrence Higgins Trust was established as a charity in 1982 and is named after one of the first people in the UK to die with AIDS.
